Perth's Ultimate Family Destination
Since opening at the end of 2016, Slate has firmly established itself as the ultimate family friendly cafe. Located less than 25 minutes from the Perth CBD, Slate was brought to life by six self-proclaimed coffee snobs who wanted to create a space for people to enjoy good food and coffee in a relaxing environment.
"Our vision for Slate Cafe was clear from the very beginning—we wanted to design a unique experience for people of all ages, with different interests,” said co-founder Kim Tran. “Everyone is welcomed at Slate, whether you are visiting with three kids and a dog in tow, or just want to sit in the sun and enjoy a moment of peace with a coffee and a good book.” Sitting on a little pocket of land just out of Perth, right next door to Whiteman Park, the cafe itself is a striking conglomeration of sea containers cladded in handcrafted wood, with a beautifully sunny outdoor deck for guests to kick back on, relax and enjoy the view. Discerning foodies can expect incredible modern Australian dishes with a Vietnamese influence and the cafe is now also fully licenced.
In the surrounds of Slate Cafe, kids and fur kids alike can enjoy both indoor and outdoor play areas (including an enclosed doggie playground!) plus a large grassed area where patrons can enjoy the use of complimentary picnic blankets and sunscreen.
Slate also caters for a range of different events from kids parties and corporate events, to dog parties and weddings! During the school holidays, Slate is the ultimate family destination!
